Designed to reinvigorate the outdated rubber boot category, Cat Footwear re-engineered the rubber boot from the ground up, revamping every component to support people working to build a better future in the wet outdoors.

ROCKFORD, Mich. (For Immediate Release)Cat Footwear, makers of modern, trend-setting boots and shoes, announced the launch of a new line of progressive rubber boots with the Stormers collection, developed for people who live and work in the wet outdoors.

Designed to reinvigorate the outdated rubber boot category, Cat Footwear re-engineered the rubber boot from the ground up, revamping every component to support people working to build a better future in the wet outdoors. Starting with a soft, neoprene lining to reduce abrasions and flexible outsole to provide unmatched comfort for all day movement, Cat Footwear didn’t stop there and delivered lab verified, best-in-class traction to provide grip on any terrain. With lugs inspired by the tracks of Caterpillar machines, and with a multilayer, vulcanized rubber, Stormers not only look like modern boots, but function under the toughest conditions.

The campaign includes an integrated program across digital, social, and retail including Stormers boots in action in a documentary filmed with the Wildlife Center of the North Coast. Cat Footwear also donated $5,000 to the Wildlife Center of the North Coast to support them on their mission to protect and rehabilitate wildlife. They wanted to support the people who inspired this redesign of the classic rubber boot by championing the hard-working men and women who are conquering wet conditions in order to make the world a better place on International Coastal Cleanup Day. The day raises awareness for coastal cleanups, encourages people to fight ocean pollution, and provides a solution for those looking to turn their passion for the Earth, oceans and coasts into purposeful action.

On International Coastal Cleanup Day, Cat Footwear partnered with three organizations across the United States for one cleanup in Sullivan’s Island, N.C. outside of Charleston, one cleanup in Tybee Island, Ga. outside of Savannah, Ga., and 45 cleanups in Miami-Dade County. The brand provided Stormers and a $2,500 donation for each location to encourage participation and purchase supplies.

“Working to save our coastlines is a tough job in a wet environment that takes grit and dedication. With the launch of our Stormers collection, we wanted to not only redefine tough footwear for wet conditions, but also support International Coastal Cleanup Day to give energy and inspiration for those modern, tough, and purposeful jobs to ignite positive change,” said Cat Footwear Work Senior Brand Marketing Manager Garrett McGuire. “Whether its saving wildlife, cleaning up our coastline or trudging through the mud at a worksite, our Stormers collection is built with highly functional, modern design and elements that will make you look good while you do good.”

The Cat Footwear Stormers 6” Work Boot was awarded Popular Mechanics Editor’s Choice for “Best Boots for Work” in 2019, and is now available online and with select retailers in a variety of colors in the Stormers Shoe model for $105, the Stormers 6” Boot model for $115, the Stormers 6” Steel Toe Work Boot for $120, the Stormers 11” Boot for $125 and the Stormers 11” Steel Toe Boot for $130.
