Production Services in Spain: An Adventurous Food Series

In 2015, WhereNext created the food exploration series for our client, World Nomads. The goal of this series was to highlight the stories of visionary chefs and dedicated local producers and to encourage travelers to use food as a springboard for a more enriching travel experience.

We especially wanted to highlight chefs committed to making a lasting positive impact on the world, a philosophy clearly reflected in the heart of on of our featured protagonists, the legendary Joan Roca.

Joan is the chef of the Girona restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, where he works alongside his brothers Josep and Jordi. Between 2011 and 2015 El Celler was never outside the Top 2 in the list of The Best Restaurants in the World. It took the No. 2 spot again in 2018 and currently holds three coveted Michelin Stars. Joan himself was named “The Best Chef” by the Best Chef Awards in 2017 and 2018.

It was a true privilege for us to be granted intimate access to Joan’s life and kitchen while filming.
